we have heard in the industry about complaints from box hardware customers who are all of the sudden faced with unexpected cost increases due to mandatory upgrades, and items such as annual maintenance fees. The issue is that our cost is predictable and does not change upwards.Ģ) With the LogMeIn SaaS model, you know what you are paying - and you don't incur any unexpected fees - e.g. 'ġ) Some feedback we have heard on cost, specifically as regards box hardware, is that our subscription model at LMI has alot of fans. Hey Guitarboy, I work for LMI, so admittedly I am biased, but here are some thoughts. I have 7 to 8 I/T staff on call at all times, I know bomgar licenses per concurrent user, I would say we have at peak times up to 5 concurrent users on the remote systems. I like the idea of being able to have a portal or rescue area where anyone can go and initiate a remote session or send someone an email or text that links them to it for supporting BYOD and personal devices. I am looking at an I/T perspective of how I can manage, support and monitor my computers off of the company network where I can remote in without user initiation.

I haven’t contacted bomgar or done a free trail yet because I don’t want to get slammed with their sales staff. I am looking for a way to bring our cost down and to increase features. It is going to cost around $5500 to renew everything we have with logmein in without adding the rescue portion on. One thing that is sparking my research is cost. My question is has someone used both systems and is there a clear cut difference between them. I used bomgar a long time ago at another company in more of the end user role. I like logmein, but would like to have the rescue feature and to work with mobile OS’s. It is time to renew my logmein central and pro licenses. These remote programs, like logmein seem to be the only way we can effectively correct errors, train end users and record changes without physically going on site. These computers are outside of our corporate networks and usually behind someone else’s firewall.
